What We Grow

At Glenelg North Community Garden, we grow a wide variety of seasonal fruit, vegetables, herbs and edible flowers – all organically and with love. From leafy greens and root veggies to tomatoes, chillies, strawberries and more, our garden beds change with the seasons and reflect what our community enjoys growing and eating.

You’ll also find native plants, various fruit trees, and a thriving herb patch. Everything we grow is shared among members or used and sold at our occasional garden events.

We focus on growing food that’s fresh, local, and good for both people and the planet. We are using sustainable practices like on-site composting, crop rotation and water-wise wicking beds to keep our soil and plants happy.

Below is a little photo tour of the garden to give you a feel for what’s growing - and the community behind it.
